Cocktail Making Classes Reviews - Ep 5
By MIXOLOGY EVENTS
Our weekend cocktail making classes are a great day out whether you go as a couple, with friends, work colleagues or total strangers.
Wendy’s highly-detailed account of her experience with us is a good illustration of this:
“This certainly made for a fun adult day! We arrived at 1pm and were greeted with a refreshing cocktail in a warehouse themed reception where we sat, mingled and discussed the various liquors on display. We were then led to another room where there were benches set up ready for the class. It was 4 to a bench, as I went with my bf we shared with another couple.”
We like our masterclasses to be as hands-on and collaborative as possible, so you will rarely be put on a bench with more than 4 other people.
This ensures that there is enough space and equipment for each guest to make their own cocktail creations in comfort.
She continues, saying:
“Johan, our mixologist was very informative and knowledgable, we found the summarising of how to make the cocktail increasingly useful as more and more cocktails were consumed. I particularly liked the reasonings behind why each method was used and what effect it gives to the finished drink as well as the brief history of where the drink came from.”
All of our mixologists are passionate about their craft.
Each of them are trained to the highest of standards in both mixology and cocktail history, guaranteeing that the level of tuition and pearls of wisdom you will receive during your masterclass are as useful and engaging as possible.
Wendy concludes:
“As a competitive person, the highlight for me was the competition where we were left to come up with our own signature cocktails. Sadly we didn’t win, but it was fun and that’s what mattered! The timing of the event was great, starting at 1pm which meant we were able to learn and sample a good handful of cocktails before heading out to enjoy the rest of the day albeit slightly tipsy!” – Wendy Filtness.
Our weekend public classes start from 1pm and end at around 3 o clock – giving you the entire day after that to explore the rest of our studios and the wider Shoreditch area.
However, we also offer the option of Friday evening public classes, starting at 7pm, for those looking to kick start a good night out.
If you like the sound of Wendy’s time with us, why not get the same for youself? Check out our public masterclasses page for full details of what to expect, or alternatively call 02080 037 982 and one of our dedicated events team will happily talk you through what we have to offer.
