Mixology Events’ 100% interactive, 100% interactive cocktail making classes in Covent Garden is our dedicated venue for our Public Cocktail Making Classes. Public Masterclasses are every Friday at 7pm and every Saturday at 1pm. At our permanent home our bars are always set up and ready to welcome you.As well as the option of hosting at our own venues across London & the country as a whole, we have the ability to take our cocktail classes on the road with us to any venue you had in mind across the UK.

Be guided through the background and concepts of mixology & cocktail making, and learn fundamental techniques.

Make Four Cocktails
Every guest will make (and drink) four cocktails behind their own fully stocked and equipped cocktail making bar, with no more than four guests to each cocktail bar station.

Cocktail Making Competition
Indulge in some healthy competition as each cocktail bar competes against the rest to make their own original cocktail using a range of liquors, spirits, syrups, fresh fruit, juices and specialised equipment available to them.

Depending on the venue, we have a number of food options – from rustic platters served during the class to full dining experiences.

We can host our private cocktail classes anywhere, at any time, on any day, for groups of any size.
*Note, if there are any non-drinkers that wish to attend there are non-alcoholic options for each cocktail. No-one gets left out.

Our Covent Garden home is located at 15 Maiden Lane, Third Floor, Covent Garden, London WC2E 7NG, a 5 minute walk from Covent Garden tube station.
Covent Garden is a lively and bustling location, perfect if you are looking to have your cocktail class in the heart of London.
It borders the exciting nightlife of Soho, and is only a short walk from the shops of Oxford Street. There are plenty pubs, cafes, and incredible restaurants to explore before and after your cocktail class. Covent Garden has its own Tube station, or alternatively stop off at Holborn, both convenient station if you are travelling from Liverpool Street or King’s Cross St Pancras.
The Chandos (£) – Just around from Trafalgar Square is this old Samuel Smith boozer. The downstairs is often packed with after work drinkers, but the pub quiets down during weekends. You can head to the upstairs for a more relaxed setting, where you can drink your pint on the comfy sofas by the bay windows. There is good pub grub, games machines, and note the odd theatre memorabilia.
Freud (££) – This unassuming subterranean bar was opened in the 80s, when bare concrete walls and industrial furniture were a respite from the glitzy clubs and martini bars of the time. During the day, it works as a café, and in the evening turns in to a cocktail bar. The space also doubles as a gallery, showcasing art from the local artists. The cocktails don’t skimp, and are some of the most affordable in the area if you’re looking for a no-frills pit stop.
The American Bar (£££) – For those cocktail connoisseurs who truly know their stuff, the American Bar at the Savoy will take you back to 1920s Gatsby-esque glitz and glamour. For those wanting to indulge on a special occasion, or merely pay their respects to these masters of old-school bartending, this is one for the bucket list. We recommend ordering a classic cocktail, or trying one of their twists on a classic; enjoy it while you listen to the live band that’s on almost every night. Like most swanky hotel bars, the dress code is smart casual.
Homeslice (£) – A great choice for those wanting to a casual bit to eat without the frills and fuss of a sit-down meal. Homeslice do gigantic New York style pizzas, either by the slice, or as a whole pizza. The pizzas are massive, and great for sharing, with customisable toppings. They focus on fresh, seasonal ingredients, so look to the chalk-board for the available menu.
Temper (££) – In-house butchered meats, steaks, and traditional corn tacos are rolled out from the open plan kitchen in this restaurant just around the corner from Covent Garden tube station. With a passion for fusion, you will find both beef-skewers with kimchi, alongside cheeseburger tacos, and jalapeño burrata. A great option for foodies looking for a taste of innovation, or simply a delicious steak from the robata-grill.
Cora Pearl (£££) – Cora Pearl is the second restaurant from the team behind award-winning Kitty Fisher’s in Mayfair, serving complex comfort food and cocktails in a historic Covent Garden townhouse. The menu consists of rich British food that is refined yet un-fussy, and distinctly grown-up. Monday to Saturday they serve a set-menu, if you would rather not feel your wallet that much lighter. Perfect for a special occasion, or impressing a date.

Any time, anywhere, for groups of any size, we pride ourselves on offering 100% interactivity through our private cocktail classes.
Perfect for larger groups of six or more, our largest private class to date is 220 people, with all guests continuously and simultaneously learning the art of cocktail making and everyone being fully included throughout the class.
Smaller Groups
Our public classes run Wednesday & Friday from 7-9pm and Saturday from 1pm at our flagship venue in Shoreditch.
These classes are ideal for individuals and smaller groups. You’ll be joining a wider group of other like-minded people, with a maximum of 4 guests to a bar with an average class size of 20 guests.

Over the past decade, we’ve taken our bars pretty much to all four corners of the UK, from the top of the Shard, to the Scottish highlands, through our mobile cocktail class service.
All the while, we’ve done so with the utmost professionalism and efficiency. We handle everything for you from the moment of enquiry, including tuition, logistics, and even site visits, ensuring your event goes off without a hitch.

General FAQ's
We host the majority of our public masterclasses at TT in Shoreditch (Great Eastern St) and Maiden Lane in Covent Garden, where we have dedicated masterclass lounges that are fully set up when you arrive – freeing you up to make cocktails continuously for 2 hours without waiting for anyone to set anything up for you.
Cocktail classes and spirit tastings both run for 2 hours including a short break in the middle.
You can book as far in advance as you like. Our tastings and public cocktail classes are always on the same days of the week or month, and this is unlikely to change.
No, there’s no dress code per se. Wear whatever you feel comfortable in, bearing in mind you will be on your feet for around two hours.

Vouchers & Public Classes FAQ's

As soon as we receive a voucher order they’re sent out via first class post. Depending on how busy Royal Mail is, you’ll usually receive your physical vouchers in 2-3 working days. If you’ve made your order on the weekend we will aim to send it out the following Monday. Christmas and bank holidays may affect this. If you need it sooner, you can Download a printable version here.
They last 12 months exactly from the purchase date. If something comes up and you give us a call within that time frame we will try our best to be pretty flexible when it comes to extending them, if you’re nice ;-).
Private Event Bookings FAQ's
Yes. If you take us on privately and have a location in mind, we are also specialists in bringing the complete set up with us. All the bars, with all the equipment, all the liquor, fresh products and ice. You simply let us know where you would like it to be and we set it all up in less than an hour and a half. We then offer the same experience you find at Mixology Events at any location you can think of.
We are based in London but can travel anywhere you need us. We have hosted cocktail masterclasses in Scotland all the way to Cornwall.
All your really need is an empty space for us to come and set up in, we can come to offices, houses, gardens, tents, rooftops… as long as we have the space and the access we can set up anywhere, you don’t need anything on your side at all.
